Frauen in der Kirche

Professor Stubenrauch prepares for the new semester. What is important to him: Although he teaches what the Church officially determines, he also wants the students to learn how to deal with theology critically. Quote Prof. Dr. Bertram Stubenrauch: “It's the women who sustain the life of the Church. You simply have to acknowledge that. If women stayed away, the Church network would collapse …. But when it comes to appreciating that or when it comes to women having a say, they still remain in the background … and this can't go on like that”. Despite women being particularly strongly committed in their churches, they still have to fight for equality. But: Does not Church mean community? There, the same rights and obligations should apply for men and women – as it is expected in politics and society, too.
